With the high interest on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ broadcasted to over 30 million nationally, Street Dance Weekend UK championships is likely to be the most highly anticipated event of 2009, especially with the appearance of groups such as Diversity, recently appointed as the first ever ambassadors of the championships and will be making an exciting guest performance at the show.

The live show is breathtaking and leaves every audience on the edge of their seat and delivers a real filmic impact – with raving reviews of “Amazing” and “Spectacular” from Universal Pictures and Sony Entertainment respectively, both have used the championships to launch their dvd campaigns for Step Up2 & Stomp the Yard, it seems the next step would be to make a movie of the championships!

Funny one should think that… as that’s exactly what happening with the major film company Vertigo Films (Bronson, Football Factory, It”s all Gone Pete Tong) are in the process of making the first UK street dance movie in association with G Force Productions. We have brought together some your favourite dance groups from the championships, Diversity, Flawless, Karizma Krew, Unity to be featured in the movie. The movie will be shot this summer – some may be at the actual 2009 championships too, due to be screened in the summer of 2010.

With entrants from France and Spain and a record number of UK top agencies and producers attending, Street Dance Weekend 2009 UK championships promises to be as amazing as ever
