Eight guys and eight girls will enter the Big Brother house tonight – however that doesn’t mean we can call them ‘housemates’ – yet.

In a new twist – after arriving in the reality compound they’ll be told they have to pass a series of tasks before being granted official housemate status and winning full access to the Big Brother house.

Until they pass they have to live in just one furniture-less room of the house.

The 16 new Big Brother residents range in age from 18 to 40 and are competing for £100,000 in prize money and the chance to live in the BB house for the next 13 weeks.
