Wireless 2009 is bringing the biggest and best acts including headliners Basement Jaxx and Kanye West to London’s very own back garden this weekend 4th and 5th July, plus there’s plenty more in store at this ‘must see’ music event of the summer.

As well as being home to 4 stages of fine music, Hyde Park will be filled with exciting activities to keep the fun flowing – speed dating, pampering, hidden prizes, high-end festival fashion with UGG® Australia and a real sandy beach!

THE EARLY BIRD TREASURE HUNT

Get in before 2pm to get involved and win prizes!

SPEED DATING

Finding love in London is no easy task, but Wireless has teamed up with one of the UK’s premier dating event organisers, When the Music Stops, to include a ‘FlirtZone’ and provide speed dating sampler sessions for the singletons. There will be rolling speed dating events, quick sessions lasting just 20 minutes each, in a special area, dedicated to the joys of speed dating. Each session will welcome 15 men and 15 women to sit down one on one for two minutes each. When the time is up and the music stops, participants are welcome to keep the chatting and the flirting going! It’s fun and it’s fast – speed dating is the perfect way to meet loads of other singles in a fun and safe setting.

BEACH

If flirting seems like thirsty work, there are plenty of pukka refreshments and chillout areas throughout the park, and even the perfect place to share a pina colada! Yes, Wireless 2009 is giving Londoners the chance to bid farewell to weekend treks to Brighton by bringing the beach right to the heart of London. A sumptuous stretch of sand, bustling with fun beach props including a donkey, beach huts, a peep through board, dozens of deck chairs and a gigantic bucket and spade! Beachwear is optional, but it may just help for those who want to be ‘spotted’ as the ‘Face of the Festival.’

UGG® AUSTRALIA CATWALK SHOW & MODEL SEARCH

UGG® - The Beauty & Beats area will feature catwalk shows celebrating festival style and embracing the UGG® Australia spirit. Two professional model shows will take place each day with one special show featuring women hand picked at the festival to showcase the exciting new Spring/Summer Collection. The open casting will run from 12-2pm each day and give the lucky ladies an opportunity to become the Face of the Festival! Featuring live Djs, fashion judges and a celebrity compere, the catwalk show will be one not to be missed, with UGG® goodie bags for every lucky participant. Additionally there will be chances to purchase the latest UGG® product or just relax in the lounge bar whilst soaking up the lavish UGG® Australia festival spirit. There will also be stylists on hand to showcase and sample TIGI and NYC products as well as offer styling advice.

GAMES GALORE

A fabulous Victorian Funfair with merry-go-round and helter skelter will take pride of place in the park. Those with a more adventurous streak can opt for a go on the Velcro Wall, Bungee Run and Gyroscope.

Various local and national charities will be on site providing small-scale entertainment and interaction that will promote audience action on environmental and social issues. These include; Global Cool, Cancer Research, Terrance Higgins Trust, Thames21, Groundwork, Living Streets, Earth Restoration Service and Plan.
