I watched it the other day & it really is as good as the hype.
It’s about a young girl called Mia whose life changes when her single mum meets a new guy. Mia and her younger sister live on a council estate and it could be any council estate in Britain.
The film is about young lost innocence, hardships, dreams & ambition. It’s extremely hard hitting and real too real at times but so profound. It reminds me of people I knew growing up and the difficulties that people go through these days in Britain.
The actress that plays Mia has never acted before and was spotted arguing with her boyfriend at a tube station. She is amazing and the whole film is cast really well. I highly recommend this movie but be warned it’s not rosy.
