Iraq war drama The Hurt Locker was the big winner at last night’s Oscars. Kathryn Bigelow won best director – the first woman ever to do so.

The film was also named best picture and won a host of technical awards.

Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges were named best actress and actor for The Blind Side and Crazy Heart.
