Hot on the heels of their two #1 hits, ‘Good Times’ and ‘Green Light’, Roll Deep are back with their brand new smash ‘Take Control’ featuring special guest, Alesha Dixon.

Grime pioneers Roll Deep, return to assail the top of the UK Charts once more with their new single, ‘Take Control’, on October 31st on Relentless / Virgin Records.

Not content with hitting the No. 1 spot with their single ‘Good Times’ (for 3 consecutive weeks! ), Roll Deep came back and hit the No.1 spot for a second time with their recent single ‘Green Light’. Both tracks establishing them as the most successful British act this year in the singles chart. To date both singles have combined sales of close to half a million and video views of over 10 million.

On October 31st they return for the hat trick! ‘Take Control’ contrast’s Roll Deep’s street savvy lyrical gymnastics with some infectious electro beats and Alesha Dixon’s silky vocals. Add them all together and they have themselves yet another sure fire hit.

Roll Deep have been nominated for Best UK Act at this year’s MOBOS, plus their video for ‘Good Times’ is also up for an award at the BT Digital Music Awards this year. Having evidently evolved from their days as stalwarts of the grime scene, tearing up raves countrywide with former member Dizzee Rascal, nowadays the MOBO nominees can be found playing to thousand-strong crowds around the world. This summer alone you may have caught them at Glastonbury, Wireless, or Wakestock and further afield in Ibiza, Dubai or Ayia Napa, where the lads, all in their early 20s, have partied aplenty over the years.

With a line-up that has seen some MCs come and go, the group of friends who hail from Bow and Poplar, east London, lyrical exploits are now securely in the hands of Scratchy, Breeze and his young brother Brazen, the notably bespectacled cartoon-like Manga, the more mature ladies favourite J2K and on occasion the godfather Wiley himself (who’s often running around on the look out for new talent or keeping Ustream in business). While executive producers DJ Target (1Xtra) and Daniel Baker (aka Danny Weed) continue to have a hand in production (and running the group).

Roll Deep have just finished work on their new album “Winner Stays On”, which will be released November 1st.
