JLS have claimed that the current crop of boybands can “rule the charts” together.

The group’s Marvin Humes said that Take That, Westlife, and JLS and could all achieve success without being rivals.

“It’s an amazing time for boybands,” he said. “There is no need to be threatened. When you look at history, you had Boyzone, Westlife and Take That before and everyone was doing very well. It’s the same now.”

He continued: ” mainstream commercial music is here to stay. Let’s all rule the charts.”

It was revealed today that the X Factor singer features on South Carolina musician David Reed’s new album and apparently plans to leave Britain for a US career.

However, she took to Twitter this morning to call on the press to leave her alone.

“I have to laugh, apparently now i’m ‘fleeing’ to the US!” she wrote. “c’mon give us a break!!”

She added: “Stop writing all this nonsense!! it hurts!!”
