Anthony Hopkins to star in a Bond film and Arnie’s return to acting.
Another week another Bond rumour… This time, it’s Anthony Hopkins that’s reportedly close to signing up to star in the latest James Bond film.
The Oscar-winning Silence Of The Lambs actor is in discussions about playing 007′s nemesis with insiders likening the role to Blofeld from the early Bond pictures.
Daniel Craig and Judi Dench will return for the untitled Bond adventure, while Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes are allegedly also close to signing up.
Meanwhile, he said he’ll be back and now we’re hearing Arnold Schwarzenegger is looking at a number of possible scripts for his return to acting.
Arnie stepped down from his role as Governor of California in January, and has been quoted as saying he’ll look at new ideas for The Terminator and Predator but it’s playing an as-yet-unknown comic book character that’s got him most interested.
He’s said he’ll be announcing his first role at the end of this month.
