Fans of multiple Grammy award winner The-Dream will be pleased to know that his long awaited new album is now available online.

1977 features the likes of Big Sean and Pharell Williams, and the digital download album is also home to the song ‘Wake Me When It’s Over‘ which found its way online yesterday.

Fans are heralding the release as a stroke of genius, and who are we to argue? The-Dream previously produced Rihanna‘s ‘Umbrella’ and Beyonce‘s ‘Single Ladies’, so he’s certainly got the midas touch.

The-Dream is regarded as a genius by hip hop heads and music critics. Here’s five things you maybe never knew about him:

1. He’s from Atlanta, Georgia.
2. He has also worked with Mariah Carey, P Diddy, T Pain, Usher and Drake.
3. He has three children by Nivea, and another by Christina Milian.
4. At the 2010 Grammys he scooped Song of the Year and RnB Song of the Year for ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’, which he wrote for Beyonce.
5. In the future he plans to have a reality show on MTV and launch a clothing line called Millionaire Love Affair.
