Dance music will be highlighted for the first time ever at the Awards.
For the first time ever in the history of the Awards ceremony, dance and electronica music will be highlighted during the broadcast with a special performance featuring Deadmau5 and David Guetta with Chris Brown, Foo Fighters and Lil Wayne.
The musicians will all be performing in a tent surrounded by 1,000 fans outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where the Awards are being held.
Grammy show producer Ken Ehrlich called the performance the most ambitious they’d ever done in that location, saying “We decided to go all out this year. All we’re going to try and do next week is to try and put the home audience in the middle of it… It is more than just sitting there and watching it.”
Rihanna, Adele, Nicki Minaj and Alicia Keys will all be among the artists performing at the annual ceremony.
