Russell Brand is set to host his own topical TV show in the US.
‘Strangely Uplifting’ Brand air his views on current affairs, events and popular culture, and will be filmed in front of a live studio audience.
The show, seen as a competitor to Jon Stewart’s hugely successful The Daily Show, will also be broadcast in the UK on the Sky Atlantic channel.
Russell – who split from pop star wife Katy Perry in December – will soon be seen on the big screen alongside Tom Cruise in musical comedy Rock Of Ages.
He will also star in Michael Bay’s new fantasy movie The Hauntrepreneur.
