Katy Perry could face court after an ‘obscene’ gesture she made on stage.

The ‘Wide Awake’ singer was performing in India to mark the new Twenty20 cricket season when she called up Australian cricketer Doug Bollinger up to show her how to hold a bat. The sportsman stood behind her and wrapped his arms round her as Katy held her microphone as if it was a cricket bat.

Although neither of them knew the gesture would cause offence, a complaint filed by a lawyer said the pose as “obscene”, meaning Katy could be summoned to answer an indecency charge after judges rule on the accusation at the end of the month!
