The stars join whilst Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green are on a break.
Usher and Shakira are joining “The Voice” in the U.S as new coaches next Spring whilst Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green are taking a break.
The new additions will join original coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, although it looks like they may only be part of the team for this fourth season.
Aguilera is taking the time off to focusing on promoting her new album Lotus, whilst Cee-Lo Green will be working on a new TV sitcom project.
A spokesperson from the US Network said: “The addition of these popular iconic artists continues the tradition established by Christina, Cee Lo, Adam and Blake. Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo. The participants on our show benefit from our coaches’ expertise and their continued success in the music business allows for significant new contributions to the contestants when they return.”
Ever the modest star, Usher has tweeted saying: “With all the talented voices out there in the world. Other raising stars could benefit from my mentoring. #Teamusher.”
