Rihanna has confirmed that she will be releasing a new single called ‘Diamonds’ and also teased a possible cover for her new album.

“It’s a record that… gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and… a little different to what people would expect, I think” she explained.

Describing Diamonds as neither sad nor dancy, but definitely ‘happy and hippy’, Rihanna confirmed that the new single would be something a little different:

“I’m excited to surprise them [the fans] sonically”

The star has also launched a new website and tweeted a picture of what is likely to be the cover of her seventh studio album, which is expected to be released before the end of the year.

In a series of tweets, Rihanna revealed the image and the website address rihanna7.com

The Rihanna logo, has been made up of handwritted words such as Diamonds, My Navy and Isis (which some are already speculating will be the name of the album).

Rihanna recently announced the Diamonds Tour in the US, proving that there’s definitely no letting up for the moment.
