Nicki Minaj went on a twitter rant about Mariah Carey last night saying that the singer wanted a ‘pity party’, and referring to her as ‘Shady McGrady’.

After Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey’s bust-up on the set of American Idol, we thought things had been resolved. However, following later rumours on US TV of violent threats being made against Mariah by Nicki, the Starships rapper had clearly had enough.

She sent a series of tweets directed at Mariah including the following:

“All I do is compliment u. That’s not enuff? Ur a legend, cheer up. U don’t have to run down ur resume or feel intimidated. Shady McGrady…

I thought we resolved it yesterday but I see u want ur pity party to continue.

Tried to keep quiet but let’s go!!!!

So, is it all for publicity or do these two seriously dislike each other? Either way, it can’t hurt the viewing figures for the show.
