“I decided it was more important for me to be happy.” she said.
Rihanna has confirmed what we all pretty much knew – she is back with Chris Brown!
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the Diamonds singer spoke about their reconciliation saying: “I decided it was more important for me to be happy.”
Completely aware of the controversy and criticism she’ll face for this decision, Rihanna remains, as her album title says, Unapologetic:
“I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s mymistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
It is the first time that Rihanna has opened up quite so much about her relationship with Brown since her emotional admission to Oprah that she still loves him.
The couple have been photographed together all over the place recently, recorded tracks together and shared several pics on their social media pages all hinting that they were back together but without confirming anything.
It has been almost four years since Chris Brown brutally attacked Rihanna ahead of the 2009 Grammy Awards, and the Bajan singer says things are very different between them now:
“We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about s***. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”
“He doesn’t have the luxury of f***ing up again,” she says. “That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”
We’re all hoping that she’s happy and that it’ll all go smoothly from here on out.
