Calvin Harris has become the world’s highest-paid DJ, according to Forbes.
The record breaking DJ overtook Tiësto, earning a massive $46 million salary (approx £29.4 million) this year. That’s even more than Jay-Z or Katy Perry!
Earlier this year, Harris signed a deal with a Vegas club, to play 70 shows there over the next two years and of course he’s been playing sets all over the world. He also became the first person to score nine top 10 hits with singles from his 18 months album.
Harris shared a photo of himself getting his official Guinness World Records certificate yesterday, topping off, what has already been, a momentous year.
As if that wasn’t enough, Calvin Harris and Tiësto have announced that they’ll be doing a joint tour in December across the UK and Ireland.
The ‘Greater Than’ tour will stop at London, Manchester, Belfast, Dublin and Glasgow, meaning that dance music fans will be able to watch the two highest paid DJs on one show.
Lend us a tenner Calvin!
