Rihanna flew her favourite tattoo artists in from NYC to the Dominican Republic to add to a tribal tattoo on her hand.
The singer, whose love of ink is well-known, added to the Maori-inspired tattoo she got while in New Zealand. The result, which covers some of the original, was inspired by henna design.
Celeb tattoo artists Bang Bang McCurdy and Cally-Jo, both shared snaps of the new design on Instagram, withBang Bang saying:
“I spent hours and hours drawing on different designs, we finally found one that worked! So proud we made it pretty”
The update has offended some people who felt that she shouldn’t have modified the traditional Polynesian design, which she had done, with a chisel and hammer, earlier this month. We suspect she couldn’t care less what anyone else thinks though.
