Eminem, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry were among the big winners at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam last night (10th November).
On the day he topped the charts in the UK with The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem scooped the Best Hip-Hop and Global Icon awards at the Ziggo Dome ceremony.
Just like Eminem, Miley Cyrus performed twice on the night and also took home the Best Video gong for ‘Wrecking Ball’. The controversial star also made headlines after lighting up a ‘suspicious looking cigarette’ on stage.
Katy Perry picked up the Best Female Act award and performed her ballad ‘Unconditionally’, whilst suspended 30 feet in the air.
Other winners at the Redfoo hosted event included Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and One Direction.
Despite dominating the nominations with five nods, Justin Timberlake failed to win in any of the categories.
Ellie Goulding, Dizzee Rascal, Will Ferrell (as Ron Burgundy), Iggy Azalea, Arian Grande, Afrojack and Rita Ora were among the big name stars dishing out awards on the night.
