Assault charges, deportation petitions and more drama for the pop star.
Oh dear, more drama for Justin Bieber as he’s charged with assault in Toronto.
The pop star handed himself in at a Toronto police station, but his lawyer says he’s innocent.
Toronto police say that Justin Bieber was one of six people picked up by a limousine outside a nightclub in the early hours of 30 December.
“While driving the group to a hotel, an altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver of the limousine,” a police statement said.
“In the course of the altercation, a man struck the limousine driver on the back of the head several times. The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police. The man who struck him left the scene before police arrived.”
It has definitely been a bad start to the year as these charges in Canada come just a week after he was arrested and charged for driving related issues in Florida.
Detectives in LA are also continuing to investigate accusations that Bieber caused extensive damage to a neighbour’s property by throwing eggs at it.
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, a petition to have him deported from America has received over 100,000 signatures, meaning officially it must be reviewed by White House staff and an official statement given.
Justin you really are having a bit of a ‘mare!
However, no doubt the Beliebers will get behind the star as his brand new video for Confident has arrived.
